I’m Julia Meadows, a New York City-based film and stage actor.
I’m a graduate of the Maggie Flanigan Meisner Acting program and a recipient of the Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Mannes College of Music.
You may know me from my recent Feinstein’s/54 Below debut as Mary Smith in the New York City premiere of new musical The Battle, Not the War or from my work on various independent short films in this past year.
Outside of performance, I am an older sister and an armchair poet. I love vintage Americana. Story songs. Rainy days. Shopping. The city at night.
Within performance, I tend towards female characters that are driven but compassionate, intelligent but conflicted, unapologetic, and unafraid to get the job done. Up-and-coming young professionals, socialites, and golden girls. The “almost perfect ones” with underlying grit. Polished veneers; dark interiors.
Now enough talking!
I hope this site gives you some idea of who I am and what I do…
